Step by step to a green roof

The basis consists of a root-resistant membrane.

  This is covered by a fibrous layer as protection and for water storage.

Drainage material is then applied,
for example expanded clay.

This is followed by another filter layer. 

Now the growing medium is distributed
on the filter layer.

  Gravel is placed around the edges of the roof for drainage.                

Finally, the seeds are sown.
